Ana Lambert
Assistant Coach- Age Group
Ana grew up around water, taking swim lessons and spending time at the lake, but it wasn’t until her freshman year of
High School that her school got a swim team. She spent the next two years swimming competitively for her school. During
that time, she competed primarily in the 100 breaststroke, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and various relays. She later stepped
away from the sport to focus on figure skating, but always missed the environment, teamwork, and sense of community that
comes with being part of a swim team. Returning to the pool has been a great way to reconnect with the sport and the team
atmosphere that she has enjoyed so much.
Outside of swimming, Ana is currently pursuing a degree in Sports and Recreation Management at the University of Iowa.
After graduation, Ana's hopes are to build a career working for a hockey team and continue coaching.

Petra Veliz
Assistant Age Group Coach
My name is Petra Veliz, I am a sophomore at Coe College and apart of the Swim and Triathlon teams at Coe. I have been
swimming for 12 years competitively and continuing. The 100 and 200 yard Butterfly and 100 yard Backstroke is where I find
the most success and enjoyment in my races. I recently joined the sport of triathlon and have absolutely fallen in love with it.
I am someone who loves to stay active and will always find fun in racing in the water.
Additionally my coaching experience includes teaching swim lessons to all ages for 5 years and student coaching at the high
school level for 2 years. Coaching has given me a different perspective to sports and an opportunity to lead others in the
sports I love.
During these years of swimming and coaching I have learned how well a cohesive team works together. Knowing the
people around me at the best level possible is what makes a team great and exactly what I strive for. Teamwork is the most
important part of a team and what makes the environment the most fun.
